NHMS Credentials (ie, no wrist band & no checking in at the gate)

For those that were there this weekend and attended the Rider's meeting, you know that Tom made an announcement about NHMS Credentials.

For those that WEREN'T there, sssentially, you pay a fee (currently it's $150) and you get a HARD COPY credentials pass with your photo on it, which allows you entry to the track without having to check in at the gate each weekend and sign the NHMS waiver (*if the organization whose event you are attending has their own waiver, you still have to stop and sign in with that organization!)

For those of you who plan on attending every race weekend and either don't pre-register or are doing LESS than 3 races per weekend & thus can not take advantage of the waived gate fee, at the current price, this makes sense as it's going to save me personally 25 bucks.

Anyway, Tom told us to head to the registration office if you wanted in on the deal to fill out the forms & have your photo taken, BUT I just heard back from Wanda who sent me the forms and allowed me to send her a photo to use.

So... If you want to get a pass just contact Wanda and she should be able to get you sorted out for next race weekend.

Word.

So there are six rounds remaining at $25 each, total $150. So you aren't saving any money. The chances someone might not be able to make a round and therefore lose money far outweigh the hassle of signing a sheet of paper once each weekend in my opinion...

It wasn't meant as a way to save money. It's just a convenience thing for those who don't camp.

If you do camp, you still have to stop at the gate to pay for camping.

It also applies to track days. You can flash the card and avoid stopping at the gate to sign the NHMS waiver. (you will still have to sign the track day waiver at tech though)

It's also a convenience thing for the people who don't like wearing arm bands. This was the primary reason for doing it.

Pretty sure I'm laughing over here. I read the words "for the people who don't want to wear wristbands" and could not help but get some entertainment out of it.

Oh and Chuck, as far as crying, look in the mirror and consider how many petitions you have filed in the last year. Only way you're getting Expert is based on points and nothing more........and anyone can do it that way.

It would avoid having to pay 2x at the gate like I did this weekend. Got my band at the gate on Friday for Penguin and was told it was only good for that day, If I came back Saturday it would be another 25 bucks. I was cool with that. So when the end of day came I tossed it out at he hotel. Next day I go up to pay and the lady remembers me & asks where my band is? (?Confused?) I tell her she told me it was good for one day & I tossed it, She said Oh, it is still good for today...that will be 25 dollars, consider it a lesson learned... I was like WTF?!!!??!! I already had enough stress on my plate that day so I ate it... no biggie in the grand scheme of things, but still pretty shitty especially when she was the one I seen both days.
