    Re: NHMS Marketing

Why is everyone so inclined to give in to doing nothing? If the logo is copyrighted - we can get permission from whoever to reproduce. I wear AFM (west coast club racing) tshirts every LRRS event because I've never seen an LRRS shirt for sale. The last thing that would ever make sense is for someone to get upset that we're promoting our club/sport. That's just silly.

The one thing that I don't quite understand, AFM for example had a president, vp, secretary and whole host of elected officials that met monthly (open for anyone to attend). This group drove the club in a positive direction. Why don't we have any of that going on?

    Yeah.. not me!

Is there anything against promoting an individual racer or team? Can you advertise "come see xxx from team yyy this weekend". Etc. Etc. Avoid the LRRS and NHMS brands completely.

I gotta share more shit on facey page.

I'm sure no racer would have a problem with that. If anything I would be happy if you were advertising me and my racing. Fact.

Please enlighten us on the secret handshake, Sav.

Keira- I am with you. My whole point, which you touched on, is that there are funds that can very easily be allocated toward promoting LRRS. Additionally, thank you for posting up your firsthand experience of your repeated efforts to promote the series. It seems that, indeed it will be up to the racer community to keep the train rolling. Too bad because the series really could be a whole lot more with just a smidgen of effort on the part of NHMS

Yea, I'm not overly concerned with the "LRRS Specific" part of the logo, but the official LRRS logo also incorporates a NHMS logo (which is technically the Speedway Motorsports logo) (if they don't have time to market LRRS, they probably don't have time to pursue copyright infringement for the LRRS Specific part). Whether this was done as an intentional "protection" of the LRRS logo, or if it was just a simple association not meant to protect, any reuse of that logo (the Speedway Motorsports part), even if we believe it to be in the best interest of the copy holder, is a "murky" legal area at best (actually the legal area isn't murky, it's clearly not allowed, the question is really about whether or not it is worth their time to come after us for it).
So, any idea where to get the existing shirts?

Somehow it's much simpler to get a Larry Lap shirt than an LRRS shirt.

I thought the only gift shop was the cart that's only open during the Classic.

Have been in the main gift shop on multiple occasions and it is nothing but NASCRAP. you wont even find a pen in there with the LRRS logo on it :/ and the only thing with the LRRS logo on it for sale at the Classic this year from the trailer was the black hoodie that damn near everyone bought one of because it was the only thing with the LRRS logo even tho it was 90+ degrees at the track that weekend

Last April was the last time I did it, and I went to the front office in April, said "I'd like a bunch of LRRS brochures to put in orders from Woodcraft" and they handed me 2 stacks. It may help that they know me, but I know I am not the only one who has gotten stacks to hand out.

Years ago there were rider reps but I never figured out if they were appointed or assumed persons.

    Re: NHMS Marketing

Rule book has all the officials and what they do listed out. The one thing to note is Wanda is no longer the series director, she's moved up in the NHMS org tree. Brenda Leonard has stepped into that role, her contact information is as follows: BLeonard@nhms.com or (603) 513-5734

Tom Blanchette can usually be easily found on site on race weekends as well if you want to chat with the head cheese directly.

This person reports to the Vice President of Operations & Development and the Executive Vice President & General Manager. Functions as a liaison between the Officals of the Loudon Road Race Series & the executive management team of NHMS. just got an email from NHMS
    NHMS Marketing-capture2-png

Schedule goes from 9/21/14 NasCrap to the 11/21/14 opening of 'Gift of Lights'
How much 'budget' does it take to add a 10/4/14 LRRS date on an email?!?

Pretty sure osram Sylvania doesn't sponsor the LRRS series, but they do sponsor the NASCAR race and the waste of lights.

You'd think it'd be in their interest to list every event they could.
