    Re: NHMS straight

I'd say just about a 1/4 mile from the exit of T12 to the 2 board.

    Just a guess though.

Maybe. The straight is shorter, but the track seems to have a faster flow, so not sure if the bike will handle it.

    Yeah, 1/4 mile, 1500 feet.

GPS here indicates 1440 feet between the red line and the green dot/yellow line.

Don't forget that you come onto the front straight at a low speed Richie. You might be riding a track that has a similar length front straight but if the preceding corner is faster, then the motard will be topped out very quickly.

For instance Sear's Point (Infineon) looks pretty good for a motard, until I rode it.... bike was wide open all the effing time.

Yah, I think thats the case with this place. The straight is only 900 feet, but it seems to be a very high speed track all around

900'? Wow that's pretty short. That's shorter than Chuckwalla's really small 'front' straight and all the 'other straights'. The biggest straight at CVR is the back straight, at 1300', but you get going faster on it than the front straight at Loudon because of the turns before and after it (you can run CVR both ways)

    Either way 900' is short!

Now that I actually look at the course map, it doesnt look too bad at all. Not sure wath the no passing zones are, hopefully just for cars.

Maybe you just haven't ridden anywhere else. Nhms is stop and go. Compare it to njmp, vir full or calabogie

    Re: NHMS straight

NHMS i dont think theres a tighter track than NHMS.. the straight is incredibly short and you entering it at pretty low speed..
i personally dont think theres a lot of road courses around where motards or even SVs can keep up so well with 600s and 750s

Firebird west and east are tighter than NHMS, but its a moot point since they are in AZ. i think an SV may be faster around west than a 600. that straight is only a couple hundred feet long
