cant agree with him more about loudon. That being said, it is still a lot of fun to go fast there!
but I do yearn for a return to NJMP or a visit to Laguna Seca someday. I really wish I was around and riding in the years when some of the big moto races came to loudon. Not to say the normal series there doesnt kick ass, but I wish I could see some MotoGPers running around that super tight track a time or two.

That photo on pg 1 of Nicky in the Victory lane was from 1998. I met him that year in the pits, and he was racing for Carey Andrew's Hyper Cycle Suzuki team.
As I recall he was ragging on his mechanic pretty bad for not quitting smoking like he'd promised to.
I think it was his first year there as he was only 16 (about to turn 17), and I remember him sliding into T1 sideways every lap.
He was rocking even back then![]()
