Tips: get rain tires.
Seriously, race rubber and moisture aren't fun. Even tiptoeing around can land you on your buns rather quickly. Best bet: rains or nice street tires (if it's not REAL wet).

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Got any ideas for how to handle this weekend with the projected on and off rain?

On a related note, do you guys run rain gear over your suit? Saturday will be my first time racing in the rain.

Do NOT skimp on your gloves in the wet. Cold hands thanks to highly vented race gloves are preferable to hamburger hands thanks to inadequate non-vented gloves.
The Foggy breath shields that S&C carries work quite well keeping fogging in check.
Talk to someone about the right way to tackle 2 in the wet. I don't know if the technique has changed since the rework in that area or not.
Get rain tires. Ive seen it done on Ntecs and Ive run a lap or two with them when its damp. Its not fun. The only time I would consider it is if a lot of people didnt start and I could get good points just by tooling around.
As for gear. I dont wear anything over my race stuff. A non vented boot would be nice for the puddle between 10 and 11 but other then that if its warm youll be fine. Just hand your suit up over night and hopefully it will be dry enough in the morning.
And for just damp conditions where there isn't enough water to cool the tire?

So it sounds like my options, with one set of wheels, are very limited. If anyone knows anyone up there with an extra set of wheels for an '04 or '05 GSX-R 600 that would be huge.
