Need Opinions!

What do you think of the price? I would be picking the bike up with all the street parts also. Is anybody familiar with the bike or the owner? I am looking to use the bike for a mix of street and trackdays so I would have to register it and don't want any problems. So far everything seems to be on the up and up but I just want to make sure.

John Sheesher's bike. Unbelievable setup. I've run the '03 600RR that Nazo bought from him and it is just incredible. Probable one of the best rides I've been on. See if you can get thr price down at all, but like i said, he builds his bikes right.

Capable of low 12's though? I'd like to know who proved that on it.

Thanks for the info. I am not really concerned about it running 12's or not cause the rider is not going to be capable of it. I was looking for a cheap track bike and a street bike. I saw this and thought it could be the best of both worlds. I have never been on the track so this season I am hoping will be my first of many.

The suspension might be a little stiff for you being a new track rider but I'm sure Kates can turn a couple screws for you and push on the bars, that always seems to help. :-)

Mr Kates will be seeing the bike anyways if I decide to buy it as it is set up for a 185 pound rider and I am a tad bit heavier than that

If you're heavier it may be good to run it as is. I was putting down 19's my first time on Nazo's at about 210-215 pounds, unaltered from when John had it.

Well right now I am currently weighing in at about 230. My goal is to lose another 20+ pounds over the next few months so we shall see what happens.

Oh trust me, I am sure I will look like a tool out there being one of the slowest people on a bike that is set up for full out race , but I can take the abuse. Atleast I will be having fun, but first I have to decide if I am even gonna by the bike. Waiting for an email back from the seller.

Really really nice. Almost too racy to ride on the street, those bikes are so well setup for the track.

You might find that the suspension is a little too stiff for the street. I seem to recall from Mr. Kates' suspension seminar that on a racebike you want springs stiff enough to give you the appropriate sag with almost no preload. That might be incredibly unpleasant on our bumpy New England roads, I'd be curious what others think.

Like I was saying earlier it's a stiff suspension for an experienced racer at 185lbs. For a novice at 200- something it will likely be damn smooth on street and less agressive track. Kates can give you another opinion but it's going to handle the street and the track WAY better than any stock suspension that most people are riding, so i wouldn't fret to much about either of them. The bike will ride like a dream as soon as you throw a leg over it. I wouldn't take all the testing and tuning that's been put into it and mess with it at all unless it's a feel in riding that needs to be tuned to you specifically. As a begginner on the track you would likely not even know what one of those fine tuning feelings is.

P.S. - Oh, John is also a great guy. Very nice, and very honest.

Willing to bet PK would say the same thing. Either way, throw a leg over it & see how it rides, then make a decision on what changes you want to make.

PS, that bike is way too nice... you should buy an EX500

I was looking into that Bike as well. I decided Against it Purely because I dont need a $6500 Race bike(Yet)

As long as the motor Has not been internally built up with cams and stuff (which would Make it Dodgey for long highway trips)

I would suggest either Getting the bike Dynoed or Even Just downloading A more street oriented Map From Dynojet .com or on the cbr Forums. And keep the map thats on the bike now in your computer to Load up for track days.
