That guy did a 36 in qualifying but could do a 38 in the race??? See I just don't understand that.
depends on my mood, motivation level, etc.Quote:

I was looking at the LRRS times for 2003 and you did do a few 1:16's. You also did a 1:17.8 for lets say race 7 on Saturday and a 1:19.7 on race 14 on the same day??? That's a big difference in time?
i'm a person who does better with the carrot dangling out there. i usually like someone just out of my reach that i can try to chase down. also if i know someone is RIGHT behind me it pushes me as well. if i'm out there on my own, i sometimes find myself lacking
of course, i can't speak for any particular day, but the results online never show all the info that might be relevant. like--if a part broke in between races, which bike i might have been on, a change in tire pressures, a change in tires (i put on new tires before MWGP), a suspension change, wheel alignment, etc. How about weather? One day its hot, next it cool. Maybe it was TOO hot for the tires, maybe the colder temps were better, etc.
Things change so much within a weekend that its hard to pin down any reason.
Makes sense to me. For a lot of us slower privateer guys the real 'race' is during qualifying. We go out first without knowing what the cutoff time is going to be. We have a rough idea of what the pole MIGHT be but chances are either Miguel or Jake are gonna put a crazy flier in.Quote:

So in essense, the qualifying event becomes a do or die situation where you are going for a crazy fast time or put in on the ground trying (hopefully not).
Also in qualifying, rather than going out there and doing 15 laps or whatever, you go out and do a few laps at a time which lets you come in, make a change, catch your breath, get a drink, go back out.
When in the race, the first half a lap everyone is so bunched up that its too tight to pass without it getting 'dicey' and if the faster packs get away you lose that dangling carrot
OK, but it just seems to me when Mike, Lew, G-man and even me were doing say 18's at LRRS we mostly stayed in that 18 range???? The times only show the fastest lap so I can understand if you get behind a slower rider for a lap or two but to be 2 second off your fastest lap a few races ealier in the day seems odd, but it does answer my question.
I guess I'm different because I ride for my times. I want to see my times keep getting lower. I could care less who is infront of me or behind me I want to keep getting faster.
:dunno:
I don't how you even got hurt in that crash!!! Just because a 400 Lb bike is jumping over you is no excuse. :D
Wait until next season when Lew will be able to pick that bike off you like it is nothing.

Kids at daycare during the day. :D
Again here's Adam talking shit about people....looks to me he is calling them cheaters!
um, the 600s I race are all worked over, mapped, race gas, etc.
Virtually every 600 expert at Loudon is running Ult-4 with a PC mapped for it.
If you think Scheeser, Giaccamaca, Martire, Wood, Greenwood, Yelk, Holcomb, Fett, Carter, Recore, etc are all running pump gas with stock engine and no PC tuning, you need to get your head checked.
Half these guys have milled heads and are pissed off if they're bikes don't make at least 115.

looks to me like you still haven't a clue to what the fuck you are talking about.
i say nothing of anyone cheating, and none of the modifcations listed come even close to cheating.
someone argued that the latest 600s were barely making 105hp, and I simply rebuted them. Thats why they have a 115hp limit in FUSA, and plenty of guys detuning to keep the bikes under that limit.
PS--Yer lame. At least learn how to use the internet before you break the fucking thing.
Your a fucking loser because you just named every expert at Loudon and said they have milled heads! Maybe I should go cry to Wood and tell him your telling storys about him like you did... You moron!!
