No, in the AM ranks those races are less heavily gridded so it's easier to do well and easier to get points.

I don't do them because I prefer more competition and big grids.

Gonna take another crack at GTL, along with LWSS and LWSB. If I start finding extra money lying around, maybe I'll do LWGP also.

True. I remember in tougher times though the MW races would have 15+ bikes and the UN races would have 6-8. GTs are usually less heavily gridded as well.

HWSS is always heavily gridded because its the first good middleweight race of each weekend (let's be honest almost no one races a 750 or even big bike in the AM ranks... MW/HW/UN are all essentially 600 races)

yeah exactly. there are a couple 750s out there, but that's about it. pretty much just comes down to scheduling for me, and what my races my friends are in. oh and I like to race with the novices, it makes me feel fast.

6 isn't bad at all if you're doing 3 a day. I did 8 the first round. it was kind of tiring but the biggest reason I went down to 6 was that I wanna watch a race or 2 and hang out with people outside my garage a little.

Nope, 2 days for me. 2 races inc. GTL on saturday and the remaining 4 on sunday. Rd 1 I did 3 races and the rookie race, Rd 2 was just 3 races, and last round I did 5 (no gtl, didn't think I could hack it). Doing 6 this time out cause 5 didn't beat me up nearly as much as I was expecting so we'll see how it goes. My biggest fear is that I will wear myself out in GTL and the rest of my races will suffer as a result but hopefully the combination of conditioning and supplements that got me through last round will do the job again this time out.

GTL, F50L, LWGP, MWGP on Saturday followed by LWSB, TBK & F40L on Sunday. If all goes well & I get my TZ250 running strong; along with my SV680 SuperBike, I plan on racing 36 laps worth of races on SV (GTL, F50L & LWSB), along with 36 laps worth of races on TZ (LWGP, MWGP, TBK & F40L). Gotta get ready for ASRA & USGPRU coming to town in August (hoping to get back down to 1:16 or 1:17 lap times to get "Invited" into Group6 Fast LightWeight Expert Practice session). Combined Group4 Amateurs with Group5 Experts is just too crowded to get decent clear laps in the re-vamped 2013 Saturday & Sunday Practice structure...
