Don't want to thread jack but can be related to current topic....what happens if I preregister for a number of races then on race day I decide not to race one or all of the races, is that money gone?? Do I get credited for it??

You've only got a limited window to cancel, at which point you'll get credit in the system (minus some fees).

I've gotten mixed info from LRRS on cancelling races.

On one hand at the registration table on a Saturday morning when I was asking about late fees they said that it's better to sign up for more races and cancel (not mentioning anything about needing a specific reason).

On the other hand, that same weekend, I came in on a Sunday to cancel some races and made the mistake of mentioning the rain. They said you couldn't cancel because of rain. Luckily I also had an issue where I couldn't get my bike through tech, so I was able to successfully get credits, but I had to fight for it (minus some fees for practice and gate entry, which I've always suspected might be a bit of a misinterpretation or miscommunication - when you actually complete 2 races and cancel 1 or 2 you're not trying to "freeload" on the gate fee or practice, but sometimes those get deducted anyways).

So don't sign up all willy-nilly expecting that there's a 100% chance you can get your money back as credits.

My password on trackintel would not go thru.....I had to reset it 3 times. I finally pre-regestered at 506pm.....motherfucker. Got charged 60 extra.

I called and left a message for Brenda.....do you think they will be compassionate enough and waive those fees??
