I'm working on cutting down my PTwins vid, so you can see how the Go Pro Wide looks.

Yup, I paid $175 for it, with all the mounts, etc. Only thing I had to get separate were batteries (2x AAA) and a 2gb sdcard.

Richie... I'm very happy with mine. Go-Pro Wide 5mp. I have them in stock. Let me know if you want me to bring you one. Or I could ship it to you in a box with dicks drawn all over it.

You'll go through batteries much quicker. I put fresh ones in every time I go out.
I have had really shitty luck with mine... records for 5 minutes. Shuts off. Fresh batteries help but don't fix the problem.

    NMh rechargeable batteries FTW.

Two sets of batteries got me through the entire day on Wednesday and I have 9 20 minute video clips. They recharge in about an hour if you have to go to a third set for riding multiple sessions at a track day.

    Re: Go Pro Cameras

my go pro wide rapes batteries. I find the hardest thing is figuring out what the hell its doing. I tried scanning the instructions and such but it seems there is no indication on the lcd for when the batteries are too low and it "auto saves" before running out of power. Also no indicator for when the card is full.

Otherwise I've liked it. As long as I have fresh batteries and SD card it works fine. That said, the wide is VERY wide. Like, artsy video wide. Things look so far away and slow. I've seen videos from the original though, and that's way too narrow. GoPro needs to come out with something about 90 degree field of view, and perhaps some way to connect it to something to get a live view to set up shots. Although with the wide, you can almost point it anywhere and it'll be ok cause it's so wide.

For the price (got mine for $160 on flea bay) its mint.

There should be a flashing L on the screen when the batteries are low. I'm not sure if there is an indication for card space. Ive been using rechargable energizer batteries and they seem to work fine. Just make sure you fully charge them before the first use
