how come another rider who is a novice has my number? havent seen him before just this last race weekend.. can 2 riders have the same number if they are in different levels?

Unless he's from another racing organization and they just let him visit for a weekend, I believe CCS and WERA usually allow people to race with the other organization for a weekend or two without having to get a license.

i know who you are talking about, He is a CCS Mid Atlantic rider. When he comes to loudon, he runs novice since he doesnt get as much track time here as everyone else does.

You will be fine. he will have to add a X to his # if you were in any of the same races. Same thing im gonna have to do when NV484 bumps to amatuer

There are two 434's cause CCS fucked up and assigned me to CCS Southwest and not CCS Northeast (Loudon). This was due to the fact I renewed my liscense while living in California still.

So there is Expert 434 (me) and Novice 434 (not me) >:O

I believe this is all in the rulebook, but...

#1 plate can be run by that classes (EXPERT) current Champion, based of prior season's point. The #1 plate can only be run by that Champion in the class he/she won it in. If you were to enter another race, you have to run your normal number.

Single digit numbers (SG #4, JR #7, EW #5, etc) are for past Champions and once you have it.. you have it. For instance JayRoot was #4 a few years ago and Greenwood was #22. When #7 became available (forget why) JayRoot took #7 and 'gave' Greenwood #4.

Two-digit (for Experts) and three-digits (for everyone) work similar in that once you 'have' a number, it's basically yours. Rule to all of this is you have to reregister by a certain date (December something) or 'your' number goes back on the market. Ergo if it's back on the market, anyone can get it for the next year.

To my knowledge 4-digit numbers aren't allowed. Would cramp the space and make reading it difficult.
