I think I get it, ok, I dont, but Ill do what they tell me since Im a rookie. If I take a gallon of 93 pump and put it in my race bike to make sure everythings running right, can I mix it with whatever stuff we have to buy at the track for the first race weekend? I assume it will be flushed out by the second weekend but Id rather doublecheck before I get suspended my first time out.
drain your tank and let it air out to be safe
I'm going to VIR in a couple weeks and will be running pump gas, then i'm doing a track day the week of race week, also on pump gas. After that I will drain my fuel system and let it air out so that there is no question when I put the spec fuel in, it will pass if tested.

That was U4. Totally different taste.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
C-12 doesn't taste so bad when mixed with a little tequila and a splash of ginger ale. It's actually rather refreshing and gets you real fucked up.

Yep, VP will be getting their marketing dollars out of this deal. I can't wait to tell all my friends about the wonders of VP fuels. VP? Oh yeah, it's like pump gas, only more expensive and with less selection. You can't lose!
I guess I don't really care since I barely use 5 gallons of gas on a race weekend, I'm just annoyed that it seems like so much time and energy is being spent on an issue that I don't remember *anyone* caring about, rather than say, oh, I don't know, improving track quality and safety? Maybe when I've got more experience I'll understand that plastic shelled helmets and toxic race gas are the real threats facing LRRS rather than a lack of runoff and giant concrete barriers/tire walls.
OH SNAP!
Now that's how you complain!
I have to give you credit because you back up your complaint by stating a much more important issues that need to be handled (just ask Miguel Duhamel) rather than just whining about the potential of having to wait in line for fuel. Some people around here could take a lesson from you...

Hopefully millions in VP kickback and pay for the changes to the track.

Not different entities.
Same owners, etc
Looks like I'm going to make money on this deal. I plan to WIN all 6 races I do totaling $150 and since 10 gallons should be enough I will walk away with $117 each weekend.
Did anyone ask VP if they are only allowing 1 win per weekend per rider? That is what they did in the past.
Shhhh, don't give away my secret...

What can't you guys comprehend about the damn rule? Additives and even the really nasty gas could be mixed into pump gas and not be detected because pump gas is oxygenated. It would be impossible to enforce the rule if the rule stated everyone must run pump gas. That's why VP made MS93 non-oxygenated. Non-oxygenated fuels make it easy to detect additives.

I think it's with the actual testing of the fuel. What they are saying is that due to the oxygen in pump gas and race gas, it is very difficult to tell what is added to the mixture.
My question is this:
Does oxygenation create more horsepower due to a denser, more combustible charge in the combustion chamber? If so, then won't running non-oxygenated gas give less power in most instances than oxygenated gas? (assuming all other things are non-variables)
If so, I better get in shape. Pushing my EX up the bowl is gunna get real tiring....
I think it's a fair question....not a complaint. If everyone is down on HP a little, then it does not really matter since we're all getting a fair shake. Just contemplating.

Oxygenation just leads to a lower combustion temperature, a lower exhaust velocity, a "cleaner" burn and a lighter fuel tank. C-12 (non-oxygenated) will make more power than MS101 (oxygenated). It's all dependent on the make-up of the fuel, not whether it's oxygenated or not. Oxygenates (such as ethanol or methanol) actually contain less energy than conventional gasoline. The MS93 may actually produce a little more HP and slightly better fuel economy (2-3% than premium pump gas due to the fact that it doesn't contain any oxygenate (ethanol) like the gas at your local gas station. So, no, MS93 isn't just Shell or Mobil 93 in a 55 gal drum with a VP sticker stuck on the side...
