As long as it's one of the 3 approved fuels, you'll be fine. If not and DB gets his face tested, you'll be sorry...

Wait till you get to the speeds and classes where it fucking matters. I found out at least one of the guys beating me this year is still running Super Duper Rocket Fuel. (which in our low-HP bikes every god damn extra HP counts) Fuck that shit!

    ^that def. blows

my main concern is being selfish as I think I can get sunoco race fuel from a source cheaper than VP...both non rocket fuel ofcourse

Brosef. You are running a stock-motored CRF. You can run 93-octane pump gas from the Shell next to the track (it's spec-legal) and be fine.

Unlike myself, who has to run higher octane (aka VP) fuel...

yes yes but not sure how much I trust it in the middle of summer on hot asphault. To me, racegas is sometimes cheap insurance but depends on how the tuning goes I guess

Pretty sure you'll be 100% fine. Only reason to run high-octane racegas is if you've done motorwork and the higher compression requires it. My bike will ping on 93 (due to upped compression as a result of the cut head), hence I don't run it. Long as your bike isn't pinging you're all good.

    Great video Richie. bwahahaha.

true, thats what I'm worried about though pinging in hot weather. But I don't have much time on a 4stroke so I'm just paranoid. don't wanna get into 800 dollar rebuild

    Hot Day Hypothetical Theory
    -----------------------------
    95 degrees
    Start motard
Warm motard up for 5 minutes
    Go out for practice
    Bike is pinging
    Pull off track
    Walk over to VP guy
    Buy higher octane
    Pour in tank
    Bike stops pinging
    HIGH FIVE!!

Yes. You are being paranoid. 4-strokes aren't as blow-upable as the fucktards on Thumpertalk will have you believe. You don't even have to adjust the valves every 10 minutes!!

also, your theory above doesn't work because you cant mix gases at all, needs to be totally drained.

Takes 2 minutes to drain the gastank on a mx bike d-bag! I do it at the end of every race weekend and put all the fuel back into my jug.

We are having our officials meeting at the banquet. As soon as I have info about the fuel rules, I'll post it up.
