    Very quick race report

I had an amazing weekend! I won the NV 125gp race, got a solid 2nd place in GTL and an amazingly fun race with Oxx in LWGP. Apparently I lead that race for about half of it, and didn't even realize it. Oxx passed me on the brakes into 3, and I stuck to his tail but could not pass him back. 2nd place there, too.

To my utter surprise, I managed to whittle my best wet lap down to a 1:30.9!! (1:42 in Saturday wet practice) I also bagged 3 trophies in my 3 races this weekend. Despite the expense of the new rains and misc other bits, it was well worth it.

    Yay for racing.

For those of you who heard about the truck and my weird fuel issues, the drive home too me 5 whole hours (instead of 2:15 like it should be) LOL. Oh well. I made it! The first hour was decent, and the truck responded to up to 3/4 throttle, but then by the end, less than 1/10th throttle was about all i could give it before it began gasping. I think its the pump. Looking into it all tomorrow.

    Very quick race report

I feel like the wet taught me a ton about the bike's potential as well as made me more confident in my ability to actually use some of that potential.

I actually slowly crept my brake markers deeper and deeper until the ones for 3, 6 and 11 were deeper than they used to be in the dry. T1 also remained the same as my previous dry marker.

I plan to tiptoe my dry markers deeper in practice to see what she'll do.

Also, I spoke to Cory, Brent and Bruce about gearing, and they all run just a hair lower gearing than I do.. 1-2 teeth in the rear. My gearing is set for someone like Paul, who can really carry the cornerspeed. I opted not to change it during the weekend because I felt it might upset my groove.. maybe in practice next race weekend.

interesting about the gearing... I ran a 44 tooth in the rear when i normally run a 43 and it worked out pretty good in the wet. My shift points were almost exactly the same.

Yeah, Cory Hildebrand ran 1 tooth higher in the wet than in the dry to maintain the drive at a slightly slower corner speed.. He was actually 3 teeth up in the rear compared to mine.

I think less for just wet and more for just my skill level. If I hit heavy traffic into T6 and have to back off at _all_, i need to grab 1st gear to get a drive.

    Same for T10.
