Race helmet legality question. (Graham?)

So, my Shoei race helmet expires in June, this month...

I was all set to buy a new Kabuto on my sponsorship, then got laid off, so I'm being careful with wreck less spending...

Now, a new employment situation is in play already, that would "require" me to be in either a Shoei or HJC helmet. Likely for free, so I don't want to spend money on a helmet that will immediately have to be changed. But it certainly won't happen by this Thursday, so I'm in a pickle.

Soooo... Will tech allow me to race this round in my current helmet, that expires this month? Or am I screwed, and have to spend a few hundred dollars, that I really shouldn't spend, on a new helmet, that will be raced in for one round?

I need to solve this by Thursday, because there's no way I'm buying a helmet at the track.

(Before anyone suggests it, I do not want to buy a new helmet and then make it for street duty. That's a waste. I have plenty of perfect street helmets)

In my best IANAL voice...
The rulebook says a helmet shall not be more than 5 years old.
If your helmet list only a month and year then you can't assume that the helmet wasn't produced before the last day of that month.
That helmet can't be "disallowed" until it breaks the rule. If it was manufactured exactly 5 years ago that is less than more than 5 years ago.

Grahms answer obviously overrules any of my opinions on this, but if this were a legal interpretation anything with a month only manufacture date would have to be allowed.

You will be able to race in it. I believe someone was over by a month last round and his helmet just hadn't arrive in time and was OKed by tech. I will also have a so are helmet you can use.

Yea.....mine was a June MFG date and they let it ride
