VIR will have them if you need em (pirellis) but Loudon will have em this season. usually in the $300 range depending on tread pattern

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Just lookin for general info... tryin to get a general feel for the market.

If you want to know specifics, i'm lookin at any race rain in EX500 fitment obviously... like a 110/70 or 120/60 front, 150/60 rear.

    EBAY--Pirelli Dragon fronts $40-$60, Pirelli mt60r's rears $40.

these are brand new,not used tires--I bought a set for the sv
I also bought a "Rennsport Wet" rear for VIR, $40+s,new

    EX500 Rains

Ther are only 2 options for the EX500.

The best is the Bridgestone rains. They make them in the 120/7017 front and the 150/60/17 rear. Price is around $300.00 to $350.00

The other choice is the Pirelli, but they only make the rear in a 160/60/17. This tire fits and works, but is not ideal. I have them just because the Bridgestones are hard to find at Loudon.

The prices seem high, and you can run on DOT's in the rain (which you should if it is just sprinkling to get a feel for them) but since everyone else has rains you pretty much HAVE to have them to be competitive. They will last at least one whole season, depending on how much monsoon season we get!

They work pretty good in the snow in April, too.

there are more than 2 options---all manufacturers make rains. Although the rears are mainly 160's--that is fine, + standard size front!
I just bought 2 sets of pirelli rains in these sizes for $100.per set + a set of metzeler wet for $100.
