Race Report- Apollomx681_ Zip-Tie Alley rookie race

So this last weekend was my first race weekend with LRRS. Ive done a tony's before but thats really my only loudon riding I've done.
On friday I started off by doing the Penguin School. Did al the good old media room classes and then did a few riding sessions. on my 3rd session out. I high sided going into 4. I took (from what everyone is yelling at me about) the wrong line and Im saying I hit a transition from wet to dry pavement and it caught and I high sided. Im fine but the bike suffered some. I broke my motor mouth from the frame slider snapping. i destroyed my front mater cylinder and tweaked the crap out of my rearsets. As the day went on and the rest of the Alley got there we started to work on the bike. Mongoose441 found me a new master cyliner, Bers bent my rearset back into place with 2 wrenchs which was incredible and I fixed my motor mount. I was ready to go for saturday.
The rookie race was fun had a good start since I used to race motocross. i know my lap time ended up as a low 1:36. I also entered LW supersport. Once again got a good start I think I was 3rd. it stayed that way until about lap 4 when I came too hot into 3 to make the turn comfortably for me. went way wide and lost about 6 positions... the race red flagged from tomato crashing on lap 5 i think which didnt give me enought chance to catch up to the field. I think my best lap time endded up being a high 1:30.
Mongoose crashed later on in the day and destroyed his bike/forks. and since he has helped me along this whole road racing journey. i gave him my striaght set of forks to run for sunday as a form of appreciation. I sat back and wathced my team mates all run very good times on the track. I had an awesome first weekend and cant wait to see how week 2 goes!

cool that you got your same numbers as your old mx numbers.

BTW - you came out of a turn 4 high side pretty good, that would slow most folks down.

also, what is up with your avatar?

Can't wait to see what you do once you get really comfortable and dialed on that SV.

If you need help on mounting new forks, hit me up and we'll make a plan.

    Yes and yes.

Just need to know how much oil the legs require and I'll handle the rest.....that is of course if Erik is okay with that.

I'm riding on Saturday but I'm free Friday and Sunday.
