Anyone going to race a Super Single at Loudon?

After seeing the RSD Super Single at the NY bike show, I was wondering if anyone had plans to race one.

I have a feeling this would be very competitive against the lightweight crowd and even SV's.

I'd like to, but I need to sell my mini to have an open bay for a Yami 4 stroke, and so far I haven't been able to. I was looking at doing a 'poor mans' conversion first, no body work, rework the stock forks, shock, and adapt old Katana or whatever wheels so I'd have a 3.5" front and 4.5" rear with a cush drive.

My problem with that design is using the dirtbike geometry up front. We know that it has chatter problems in high speed stuff. Why start there?

I've seen two schools of thought on SuperSingle suspension question.

The first theory, and it's what RSD goes for is to use a middle weight superbike front end. The upside, instant radial brakes, 3.5" tubeless wheel, yada yada yada. The downside is most middle weight front ends are too short, making it impossible to get any swingarm angle in back without wrecking the front trail.

That brings up option 2, shortening the front forks, and either using alternate clamps or running the OEM clamps backwards to get the trail correct. You get the proper fork length for overall geometry, but you now have to figure out a front wheel and brakes. Quick option, standard Sumo setup.

RaceTech is betting on option 2, and sells a revalving kit and replacement fork bottoms with radial brake mounts. Mucho-spendy though.
