Re: How can you race TT Isle of Mann?
Spent the morning with Scott Mullin today.
Part 1 of putting the Isle of Man Motor together. Scott took the time on each step and explained to me what each part is, how it works, the importance of it, etc.
Learned a lot today and I cannot thank Scott enough for opening his door and sharing his knowledge with me.
I hope I never get to use the things I am learning but its good to have the knowledge.
here are some progress photos:

Re: How can you race TT Isle of Mann?
Thanks for the day Sav and Scott. What a pain in the but trying to set up the dial indicator on the valve. First cam was only .25 degrees off from just initially setting the cam and chan. I love it when that happens.
Re: How can you race TT Isle of Mann?
This is getting so real! Next brief stop Dublin, Ireland and then Finally for the first time ever Isle of Man.

I can't wait to physically touch those roads and breath the air over there.
I am so honored to be accepted in this year's newcomers weekend. I can't even explain how excited I am.
Re: How can you race TT Isle of Mann?
You should really think about dressing up for such an important occasion. Kudos for daring to do what many would not even dream of!

Wearing a shirt doesn't count as dressing up?

First impression of the Isle; sell my house in MA, move here.

Have you figured out what anybody is saying yet?

Most shocking part, I can understand EVERYONE, it's actually easier for me to communicate here than in the states.

Over the course of a year, the temperature typically varies from 38°F to 64°F and is rarely below 32°F or above 69°F.
Sounds fairly shirt-free lifestyle friendly.

How true this statement was. I am at 300% of what I originally thought this was going to cost. Hahaha
Fuck it. Newcomers weekend is going amazing.
I have some excellent news that I unfortunately cannot share for a few more weeks but I will as soon as I am permitted to do so.
The Isle is beautiful. The people are very welcoming and they want to help racers as much as possible.
I have done several laps of the course in a car and I will do plenty more as I have two more days here.
I am jet-lagged like never before, my sleeping and eating schedules are totally destroyed.
Learned a lot about suspension set up today by some pros here and met local TT legend and 2 times winner Chris Palmer who was kind enough to go on the course with me and give me tons of pointers. Truly great instructor and I guess he will be doing the announcements during this year's Manx.
The course is hard. Like harder than I can describe. Videos do it not justice. Actually after being on the course I can say videos make it look too easy. This isn't a joke. You are ridiculously close to stone walls, trees, 100ft cliffs, etc. you can't tell on video how dangerous it is, how steep or how tight the course is.
And they are telling me it will be even harder during the race because air fence makes it even tighter and the trees will have leafs which will make several parts really dark. Lol. If anything though I am more pationate to come and compete here.
Did a couple of interviews for promotional videos and local paper which was cool.
That's all for now, more to come upon my return back home.
