As usual, HUGE thanks to everyone who helped out last weekend. You all know who you are. Special tanks to Chris, Gordon and Rye for the front-end work on my bike. Special thanks also to Bob for the use of his gas can (and gas) and for drinks and food he generously shared with me before Beth had arroived with fried chicken.
I had a great weekend culminating in a half-ass win in Unlimited GP (only 3 entries). Still my best most fun race ever. I had this dude on my tail the whole race and I think I beat him by milliseconds at the line. BTW he WAS on a Gixxer 750 so I feel pretty good about not getting out-dragged on the s/f straight by him.
On a personal note I want to make a statement about refreshments at the track. Bob, Mike, Christina and Beth (and others) spend upwards of $40 each every race weekend on drinks and food for everyone to use. On Sunday morning I picked up 16 bottles of drink that had one or two gulps out of them then they were just discarded. Please try to keep track of your own drinks and finish them or throw the bottle away if you are done with it. We are wasting drinks and making a mess as well.
I'm on a diet and exercise regimen until the next race weekend. No beer, low calorie-low fat meals and gymn at least every other day. Trying to lose 10lb in 2 weeks.
Congrats to all the NESR, Collision Pros and Apex peeps on a successful weekend. See y'all in 2 weeks.
Everybody should try to make it to the trackl on labor day for the endurance race. NESR will have a team competing in the 3 hour race. We will have LIVE timing and scoring at our hot-pit this year.
