    LRRS #2 - 399

wow I am dead tired...anyway went up saturday morning this weekend. Started off by running to an atm down the street, grabbing cash and then bolting and left my card in the machine aha

    Saturday
nv supersingles- 3rd - Had a good start, I actually don't even fully remember what happened but I made stupid mistake and was way wide in the bowl on the last lap and let 2nd place by so I ended up 3rd.

    Sunday
nv Motard- 5th - I think I was infront of my group for this one and low and behold I found my buddie DB infront of me so I thought sweet I'll use him for motivation to pull me along. Well on the straight out of 12 I noticed my bike was pulling on his and I thought hell I'm goin for it and tried to sneak inside on turn 1 as he was a bit wide. Turns out he told me he grabbed an extra downshift and really lost speed as he turned in and rather turn more into the dirt on the inside of 1 I stood it up a bit and we smashed pretty decent. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him go off into the grass and thought "o wow, I'm an asshole I hope he didn't just wreck". Anyway he didn't which was good and I faded horribly the last few laps and ended up 5th like a d-bag.

nv LW sportsman- 2nd - I was psyched on this race as I started on the 2nd grid and holeshot the race infront of the supersports/sv650s on row 1. One big bike came by me on the exit of turn 1 and then as we flipped I knifed under him and regained the lead and kept it for about half the race. An aprillia 550 came by me on t3 who I later found out wasn't in my class. Lastly, a guy running faster times than me finally got by on another crf which gave me my 2nd place and 3rd overall for the race so I was happy with that. I kept the ape and crf in my sites til the checkers though they were a few turns ahead so that got me motivated as well.

My first weekend out on the bike for LRRS #1 I started with 1.37s and got to 1.29.8 I think. This weekend I did a few mid 28s which is my new personal best (1.28.5) so I'll take it and keep progresssing a tiny bit each week I hope.

There seemed to be a good amount of wrecks this weekend so I am glad all the dudes I know are ok

Richie I still love you and I hope not to try to hump you on the track ever again.

Nice job dude. Way to keep improving! You should do next rounds Friday session, prob make a nice difference having that extra half-day of track time now that you sorta know what you are doing

Not enough stamina yet. Next time lead from start to finish. You can do it.

+1, watching you for your last race you had the lead and were at pace, then about half way it looked like you fell way off. Did you try getting your feet up to the pegs quicker on the starts? I noticed you doing the motocross drag earlier and had to pass that on. The guy in the rookie race on a 1000 was doing the same thing, I think he wheelied like 6 times coming into turn 1.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    Re: LRRS #2 - 399

ya thanks for that tip Jay, it does make sense but I think for my last race I sitll dragged my feet for awhile. I started getting the holeshot on most of my races so I was more worried about not going backwards after the start aha. I am going to try to keep that in mind though because I'm way up on the seat and have my head over the front plate but I'm still fighting the bike standing up so shoving the feet up forward should help.

I'm no pro at launching the motard either, i could use a few lessons myself, the 600's I had a pretty good knack for.

I somehow end up first into turn 1 and last out of turn 2. I need to figure out that like 100 foot patch of track.

Seriously you may want to just roll off a tic at your turn in point, but then just get right back on it.
