Curious how he is going to do. Good racer here in the US and he seems like a nice guy (not that that counts on the track) but I think it's going to be a tough road for him for a couple seasons. Hopefully he does well enough to get a better ride.

WSB grid will be 20+ for sure.
Don't be so sure Roger is making more than anyone. I'm sure he's getting some $$$ for this ride but many of those WSB teams don't pay much as you might think. Especially the ones further back. I know two guys that raced for a WSB team in recent years (similar to RLH's new team) that are STILL waiting on payment. Point is: WSBK ride does not = big paycheque.
Hey in this offseason you take any ride that's in front of you. There are worse places to end up than the WSBK paddock but lets not delude ourselves. This was the ONLY option RLH had, so he took it. I think anyone in that situation would do the same.
Doesn't change the fact he's got a tough row to hoe. Kawasaki ZX10's haven't exactly been setting the world on fire in the last..oh 10 years and he's on a B-level Kawi team, on new tires, on new tracks, etc etc. Not to mention Rog has been off Superbikes for a few years. He's a solid rider but he isn't going to be pulling a Spies.

If he gets in the top 10 AND is willing to switch manufacturers he'll be set up. But thats a stretch IMO
1) Kawi is not notorious for providing strong support to their race programs. If you look at AMA, WSBK and even GP; AMA would really be the only place you could see a Kawi on the podium.
2) He is facing a super talented grid. In WSBK you can really say that any one of the top 10 racers can take step 1 or 2 on the podium any given Sunday.
3) New tires, new tracks.
4) B squad for a team
Those are just the big things. I'll be rooting for him because I do like to support Americans racing at the world level, but the deck he is facing is HUGE.
