Saw some of these machines at Daytona. Might want to check out those rules as well. IF U WANT TO THINK ABOUT RUNNING DAYTONA.

There are two sets of CCS rules for 250s, the real ones, and the "gentlemen's agreement." CCS Ultralight Thunderbike is pretty close to the proposed Formula 300 Class A rules.
So, other than allowing air cooled two stroke twins plus the standard CCS single cylinder blind spot, the rules mesh with Formula 300 decently. Any Formula 300 bike should be good to go in ULTB without having to make CCS specific mods for legality. The other caveat to note is they allow all these mods on what we'd run as Category B bikes in Formula 300, so not all ULTB legal machines would be Formula 300 legal.Originally Posted by 2013 CCS Rules
Now, what the racers have claimed to be running is 'Ultralight Supersport' under a gentlemen's agreement. A built to Formula 300 rules Category A bike could whup on 'em.

Here's another one from the ninjette site (out in Denver though):

the time has come for me to sell my 2010 Ninja 250. This is definitely one of the best... if not THE best Ninja 250 in the club (MRA). I won 12 out of 14 races on it and that definitely says something about its condition. This bike has been meticulously maintained and is set up perfect for a faster rider. It holds track records at almost every track... I can assure you that this thing is fast.
The bike has:
- Professionally painted Hotbodies Racing bodywork with Supersport windscreen
- Woodcraft Rearsets
- Woodcraft Clip-ons
- 415 DID Chain w/ Aluminum sprockets
- Full Custom Area P Carbon Fiber exhaust (This is not the same exhaust that is on their website)
- Racetech Emulators and Fork springs
- Aftermarket rear shock spring
- SSR Gas cap and smog Block off plates
- Steel braided brake lines w/ Vesrah brake pads
- Adjustable hand controls
- I know there is more that I am forgetting
This bike has had an extensive amount of time and tuning on the Dyno to ensure that every last bit of HP is squeezed out of the bike. Valves have been checked and adjusted regularly and oil is changed after every race weekend. The bike has been lowsided once at HPR. All damage has been repaired and frame is straight.
The spares that are included:
- Full set of Hotbodies bodywork w/ minor rash and windscreen.
- Correct Size Tire warmers
- Brand new Sportisi Rearsets
- Front and rear stands
- Sprocket
- Handlebars
- Oil filters, crush washers and gaskets
- Air filter
- Service Manual
- Carb jets and needles
- Suspension tuning parts
- Take off tires
- Fasteners
- Pitbull stand pins

If anyone has a Ninja 300 right now, Woodcraft is actively looking for a stock bike that we can get in here so that we can add a couple things to our line of products that we already make for this bike (clip-ons & rearsets in stock). There will definitely be some free / discounted stuff headed the way of whoever can get it to us first. One of the primary things we need is to do is to make bodywork molds....but there is a little more to do as well.
email info@woodcraft-cfm.com if you are interested.

Looks like this will be a very popular class. If we can get 5 or more new bikes to set up , we can offer deep discounts on shocks and fork work. All of our suppliers, Penske, JRi, Ohlins and K-Tech all make shocks, and we can use Race Tech Cartridge Emulators or Ricor Intmidators for the budget minded and full on Cartridges from K-Tech for the poverty challenged. I'll start a thread in the GMD section, let's see what we can do.
Hay everyone,
New to road racing was planning on racing formula 300
Fairings do they have to be stuck appearing? Was thinking of putting on a more streamline maybe a little larger windshield fairing to cover my fat ass.
anybody give me a little help with this
I'm 99.99% sure they don't care what fairings you run. As long as the belly pan will hold 3qts. (I think that's the spec)
Edit: possible epic fail in my speculation. Read with caution.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
The correct answer is: What bike are you running? There are two sets of rules for Formula 300.
Category A goes by Superbike rules, whatever fairing you want.
Category B goes by Production rules, OEM look.
09 ninja 250r so class A superbike it is!
Thanks
Now on to rear shocks, on 250r
Gsxr 600 mono or zx6 mono??
