Ignore the sign that says credit cards only at registration. They takes monies.

You need a card to buy fuel from the pumps.

I'm more than happy to pay by card. When I was married, I wasn't trusted with cash. That habit stuck.

If you have any numbers in mind, PM me. I can see what's available right now (I don't know why this isn't public information).
Yeah, that's a mystery to me....or why they don't default to just giving you a number. In retrospect, I guess I could have told her I didn't care but the guessing game was super frustrating.

If it makes you feel any better I'll be bringing a bike that is not drilled or safety wired. That it has no belly pan. That is in full street condition. And I'm planning on racing that.

Just a head's up, figure out the garage situation as soon as you can after arriving. Last round I had some friends in their rookie weekend and I told them to set up in 12A under the same logic.

Not sure if they're the "squatters" - but for one of them it was his rookie weekend, for the other it was *sort of* because he just did the rookie race the round before and did not use the rookie garage that weekend....(and there seems to be some conflicting info going around about whether the garage is for your first, or first 3 race weekends).

Then the guys with the vintage bikes said they had it rented and gave them the boot.

Eric made it right (Dana wasn't there that weekend, so he let them have that garage)

Long story short, I'm not 100% sure there is a rookie garage every weekend.

I sort of wish they'd get that sorted out....everybody I asked told me a different garage until I asked Steve (I had to track him down b/c I took basic a while ago and was in the advanced class).

It's super nice to have a garage to use your rookie weekend, so I'm not trying to sound unappreciative. But you've got enough to worry about your first weekend without having to figure out where you're supposed to be or having to move after you're already set up.

So do you have a racing lawn mower? 'Cause I heard they're the shit.

For gas cans, I have a VP jug and it's great, I'm liking my 2.5 gal Tractor Supply jobber better. It's got a freaking thumb trigger. Invert can over tank, make sure nozzle is in the hole, push button. Release button when you've reached your desired fuel level. No mess, no vents, easy cheesy.

    I second that gas can.....

I have a VP and IMHO the VP's really must be made for cars....or some other time when you have to pour 5 gallons quickly.

I invariably wind up getting gas coming out of the vent hole, esp. when the VP is nearly full.

I have the 2 1/2 gallon size and the 5 gallon size "no spill"

Works really well, pours plenty fast enough for a motorcycle tank, and the mechanism is super easy to use without spilling or overfilling.

I use both cans when I'm doing a multi-day event at a place like NYST (no gas on site), and usually wind up using the VP gas can to fill up the "no-spill" can when it's empty.

I really don't give a damn about the garage space, speaking personally.

So, can anyone confirm or deny the existance of the mythical rookie garage for this round?

    Talk to Steve.

I suspect that he'll tell you 12A is the rookie garage, but that there may be non-rookies in that garage as well. His attitude at Round 6 was that there's room for 8 bikes in the garage. If there's less than 8 bikes in there, you're welcome to take some space.
