    Rookie question

I'm planning on doing a few trackdays early in the season and then start racing around middle of the year. I've done the Penguin school so I'll just have to get my license. I just had a couple questions in regards to classes (they've probably been answered a million times on here), I'll be on a 600 so after doing the Penguin rookie race which class would I be racing in? I read the rule-book and was confused between formula 2/rookie 2/starter 2. Any insight appreciated, thanks!

    Re: Rookie question

Novice/Rookie/Formula/Starter are just different "names," to differentiate when the races happen.

1/2/3/4 are the "classes" for the purposes of what bike you can run. You can run a 600cc (middleweight) bike in "2" classes, or you can ride UP a class into "1" classes with bigger bikes(750/1000cc). Since rider skill is THE variable in novice racing, do whichever "1" or "2" races you like.

    Re: Rookie question

For the novice classes - 1= HW/Unlimited. 2 = MW (your bike). 3 = LW and 4 = ULW. You can race in your class or up a class so a 600 will be eligible to race any of the 1 or 2 classes. You probably won't be able to race all of them because of schedule overlapping ie. Rookie 1 and rookie 2 racing at the same time...obviously can't be in both of them.

    Re: Rookie question

Last year rookie 1-2, formula 1-2, starter 1-2 all went off together.
