Rossi Refresher: The Cult of Vale

For all you doubters out there.......http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2012/Jun/120608k9w.htm

I say screw MotoGP - processional racing sucks.

Put him on the Panigale and let him rock it in WSBK in 2013!

^^^ And less expensive for teams to compete. in in 2000 when KR JR won there were 31 riders/bikes scoring points, 2002 the first year where 2stroke-4stroke mixed together 27 riders/bikes scored points in MOTOGP in 2011 there were 22, and thats including all the fill in riders like Josh Hayes. in 2012 there are 21, and that is with all the CRT bikes..

    Stoner may be right...

I used to be such a huge MotoGP fan, and would not miss a race for anything.

It used to be the case where there would be maybe 1 or 2 races per season that were snoozers, with the rest consisting of great racing, close finishes and strong rivalries. It now seems to be the exact opposite

Agreed. But, the advent of traction control for example, allows for faster cornering and exit speeds. If I had to choose between speed and fun factor I'd definitely stick with fun.

Sucks I didn't start watching moto gp untill about 2 years ago... right about when rossi went to ducati. I had been hearing and reading how amazing he was and how he just pulled off these unimaginable moves, but but other than the rain race a couple weeks ago, I haven't seen a race where he finished under 7 that I can remember. I thought that he was just lucky or something untill I actually saw some footage like this. He is an amazing rider, and It pisses me off that he's still with ducati after all the shit he's been through with that bike. And I agree about all the traction controll it seemed alot cooler when it wasn't around.

In that case, you may enjoy this a lot, and probably didn't see it first time around

Great vid. Anyone have, or have heard of an older gp/super bike video with "the cardigans" my favorite game as the sound track? Was on youtube for along time, now I can no longer find it.

You wanna see some *epic* Ducati MotoGP shit, leave it to Bayliss. Go find a video of the 2006 Valencia race.

Not to get off the topic of Rossi, but Bayliss is an animal. Netflix on Demand is currently airing a documentary on him narrated by Ewan McGregor (like Fast and Faster) called Troy's Story. Definitely a good watch.

Also, check out this article (in one crash, he lost a finger and a nut - ten days later, he's back to racing): http://www.visordown.com/features/ha...liss/4009.html

Mike, if you want good racing, watch BSB. Especially the final race from last year with Tommy Hill and John Hopkins
