Well, it's on a Harley so it really doesn't count. Even his VR1000 ride was a bit silly.

He raced... err.. tried to race Superstock at Daytona in 2008. He got smoked. He couldnt believe how far the bikes had progressed from his superbike heyday to current production supersport bikes.

He didnt do very well .... he did do some endurance racing last year so maybe he isnt rusty. Should be cool to see him on the XR1200 but I would expect him to be a threat for the win.

I was in the Ocean Deck after the race. Steve Scheibe was as drunk as a man could possibly be without becoming comatose. To say that he was disappointed with Scott's H-D debut is a gross understatement!

The story is way too long and involved to type it all here. But it was basically Scott being an asshole with the whole "don't you know who I am?" bullshit. Well all my friends are Harley guys and they had no idea who he was. Scott ended up saying something to my friend Chris who is not scary looking at all but has a mean punch. Well Chris hit Scott in the face and then it was on. Scott's crew tried to get involved and it spilled into the parking lot. Some of Scott's crew also got their asses handed to them and I think there was a foot chase involved but it was so long ago the details are getting sketchy.

I'll try and call Chris later. He tells the story perfect!


I always found it ironic a bunch of Harley guys took out a Harley racer with a good chance of doing something at Daytona!
