on motard.
Boston --> San Diego
Now-a-days MM, Dunny, Batman, Brent, and JayRoot are all dropping 16.9-18.0 on the piece all day long. Then me with 19.5. Used to be a time when 19's a motard was Top 3 all day.. now it's way off the back! Joe Kessler is looking to come back next year too..
Figure with the off-season performance upgrades and upping my seat time (only 1 dry weekend in 2008, and 1 in 2007) the goal is somewhat ambitious, yet entirely attainable![]()
Boston --> San Diego
Yep, Battled it out with Kessler a bit too. He's an aggressive rider. You'll get there. It's a hectic pace for those bikes to be sure. Although I think they are a bit faster in and stiffer than they were 3-4 years ago... better sorted out for loudon, too.
Sounds like a great class to race in now. We had a 125 field like that at one time.
Grahm's is set by far stiffer than any I've ridden before and it handled unbelieavalbe. I'm going to do some more playing with my settings this year, but probably putting a lot more focus on running the new bike. I'm psyched to be back on a race style bike and can't wait to hammer that thing around, though I'm sure I'll be on a big learning curve.
One goal... track days as much as I can afford
Pre:
Go jogging with the dog Rocky-style
Run away from the Russians in the Benz
Put bike back together (service of all major components)
Repair/replace borked bodywork
Add more spares
Save money (somehow)
Season:
Drop into the 'teens
Stay on fresh Pirelli hoops
No crashes until 'teens happen
Do some upside down situps Rocky-style
Yell "Adriaaaaaaaan" first time going into T3
Get at least a 1st in NV before the forced bump
Stick to my gameplan on a race-by-race basis
Keep collecting wood
Post:
Keep on keepin' on
Pre - drop the poundage so I can zip my leathers up again come March. (this really was an issue in October so no fuckin around...)
Season - for me it will be all about body position. Dropping the shoulder and the head and uncrossing myself. I think if I can make that adjustment good things will happen.
Since Im only a track day guy there will be no talk of laptimes....but I know where I'd like to be!
