With all the worrying you already do, you wanna add suspension setup to the mix?

I'll have to let ya take my bike for a spin sometime... Being a 2nd gen it's obviously gonna feel completely different than yours, but I think once you get comfortable you'd dig it.
It probably won't blow you away or make you change your mind, but Gino certainly liked it down at NJMP :naughty
Radial brakes need radial mounts on the forks. Not gonna find any adapters for that.
In other news... my winter shopping list is gettin bigger than expected :madfrown:
Needs:
LWSS legal motor rebuild
Brake pads
Fresh caliper bolts
Chain & sprockets (Tuono, too)
Front & rear suspension rebuild (Tuono, too)
Valve check (Tuono)
Wants:
Front brake master cylinder
Superbike lines
Funny how that happens, eh?
Mine got smaller. I really didn't want to undertake the whole front end swap. Instead I think I'm going to:
Get the SV Racing Parts Tokico 4 piston caliper adapters for the stock forks (info here: http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=120393)
Leave the 08 GSX-R radial master on and change the fluid to one of those mentioned in this and the brake thread.
Bring the bike to GMD to have the current suspension worked on, plus have the bike measured. (I never ad it done after I slid in T6 in 2009.)
So, all I need are the bracket kit and a pair of 01-03 GSX-R 600, or 00-03 GSX-R 750 Tokico calipers and new Galfer HH pads and not half as much work.
Or you can forget the calipers, too & still race lwss
Who's gonna check?
Oxx has a GSXR front end on the front of his scooter.
So, for the record, I've given up on all upgrade ideas. Just going to refresh what I have now. It worked to get me into the 26's. I'm hoping it'll work to get me into the 22's next year.
Agreed. The money's much better spent on quality seat time & instruction than mods at this point in the game.
Exactly. I came a LONG way this season and want to push that even further next year.
Besides, between the brake and suspension refresh, that's going to cost a bit anyway. Why make it more expensive than it has to be.
I think the SV will be over at Winter St quite a bit over the winter.
You are making the right choice.
Yeah, when I get on a buying kick, it takes quite a bit to get me to change my mind. Ask Annalisa.
I got enough people telling me that I was going about things all wrong. Guess I wanted to keep up with the Joneses.
What I really want is just to keep up with the Amateurs.
Finally got to removing my suspension and cleaned it up. It'll be heading over to PK at GMD Boston in the coming week.

I need a motor refresh.
Probably rings, valve springs, valve guides, valve job, clearances, fresh fluids, clutch, fork and shock refresh, steering head bearings might be in mix too. Would be nice to get the bodywork repaired and repainted and mounts replaced.
Too bad I don't have any money, or a place to work on it.
Another 2 day school.
