I think Track days are number 1 on my shopping list. 4 days this year was not enough.
    Then
Penske Shock with BIG spring to hold up my fat ass
    Stands
    Gearing
    Rear Sets
Spare rims and wet weather tires Less likely to rain if I'm prepared.
New Lid with removable liner for easy washing

Shopping list priotorities are suspension rebuilds front & rear, oil changes, brake fluid flushes, brake pads, chain & sprockets if necessary.... THEN start messin around with mods.
I still have the emulators. I'm just looking for easy rebound damping adjustability. The bike's gong to GMD over the winter, so I'll see what PK has to say.

To my knowledge, the five year rule is still in effect. Therefor, if you have a Snell 2005 helmet that was produced less then 5 years ago, you are good to go.

That's what I had thought as well.

My helmets are both 2005 and have dates of 08 and 09. I'd hate to have to dump $1400 worth of helmets because of this rule.

mine is dated 6/06, so i would need a new one anyways. i wasn't saying that LRRS or track orgs are requiring snell 2010 helmets. i was just asking if anyone mysides me was putting a snell 2010 helmet on their shopping list

Kb if you believe that a stock front end is better than a gsxr type front end then you are wrong. Unless ss is that important to you.

Have a line on a complete late model (08-09 600) front end and wheel, locally. We'll see. Bonus is in late November and I made all targets for it.

Ever ride an SV with a stock front end and a cartridge kit? Re-do the internals to cartridges and the damping is just as good as a gsxr front end w/o the side effects of a front end with too little flex.

Yes, the brakes still leave something to be desired, but the stock forks & triples are better matched to the rest of the chassis than a GSXR front end. There are a few very fast SV guys outside of LRRS that actually like the stock front end w/ a cartridge kit over a GSXR front end.

Mine certainly isn't holding me back...

I like my stock front end, but would like to have easier accessibility to changing rebound and compression damping. And the added bonus of having somewhat better brakes is also a turn-on. Since I have no intention of doing SS races next season, it's definitely an open option.

I'm not sure actually. I don't usually ask what people they are running for suspension. I've ridden yours but Idk if you had the cartridge kit, same thing with noels bike.
My mwpt bike is race techd but not with a cartridge kit.
All I know is that just swapping to stock gsxr forks immediately shaved about 2 seconds of my lap times.
Tanzy has gsxr forks on his but he runs 600 forks that aren't USD.
I can agree that USD forks like mine may be a little stiff for the chassis, but the pros (to me) out weigh the cons.

Has this question been asked and/or answered . . .

Are there other calipers that would be better and fit the stock forks with minimal changes?
