I'm with you Pete, worth the scrilla for the good ones. Tools that work better are worth the money, and they'll last forever. I never feel guilty spending money on tools I'll use consistently.

That is really helpful - thanks.

Doesn't appear the HF pliers can reverse the way his can.

I need a pair of safety wire pliers. So the 26Ws are what you guys are recommending?

I like the 6 inch size better for bike work. Especially when trying to do rear header bolts on a V-Twin

I just noticed that I referenced the wrong model. I will be getting the 45W and not the 11WS. Oops

Got em! I may or may not have had a moment alone with them.

Switching from right-hand to left-hand twist is a little stubborn... sometimes takes a little bit of fiddling in order to switch it w/o forcing it over. Hopefully they'll break-in with use & it'll get easier but I wrote to Crawford tool just in case, thanked them for the super quick shipping & asked about the switch.

I picked up the 11WS from Crawford, better pricing than McMaster. So far work well, need to break them in. Thanks for the link for the Crawford site.

i got mine in a couple of days ago and am so so about them. The part where you pinch and slide to lock the pliers closed is made of plastic on the 11WS. My $8 HF pliers is metal.

I also had to take the twisting piece apart and work it in, because it wouldn't retract all the way in if I only brought the twister out half way. Once I worked that in, they're smooth as glass.
