Anything similar to Hornbecker fund for CCS?

I have a buddy that was injured at his first CCS weekend at NJMP and is out of work.

Since he's a rookie, he didn't even know to check to see if CCS had something similar to the Karen Hornbecker fund.

Does anybody know anything on this front or have any resources they could point me to?

AM MW grids at NJMP are sketchy as fuck. Most dangerous group of riders i've experienced out of the 8 CCS tracks i raced at last year.
one rider died 2 years ago on the start when someone shot straight over from the left --> right side and caused an 8 bike pile up.

to answer your question, yes. look at the MSO program. i think it's run by the pastor/priest that rides & attends the CCS rounds.

Thanks, Jim. I couldn't find anything through google on "MSO Program" - can you provide a little more detail? Maybe if I plug in whatever MSO stands for I'll have more luck?

I'm heading to VIR tonight. i'll grab a flyer in registration. it's something like MSO outreach. i couldnt find anything on it, or the CCS website either.

never mind, i found it. it's MRO & it's just a faith/religion program for the racers.
the only CCS injuried rider programs out there are for Blackhawk Farms and Summit Point.
    nothing for NJMP.
    sorry.

you've raced at 4 now, wouldnt you agree about NJMP? i know you did LW classes, but those riders are a bit too aggressive with close passing at a club level.
i like NJMP, but i stay the hell away from those events now.

I think NJ is the most boring track (racing) that I have ridden.
Yes during practice and even in the LW grids there are several dangerous fuckers there.

I was busting your balls though.

Re: Anything similar to Hornbecker fund for CCS?

All kinds of incidents happen at every track. LRRS has also been on the unfortunate end of some serious incidents.

I for one have been taken out. Not fun BUT I and have gone elbow, helmet, shoulder to bike racing at London and it has been some of of the most memorable racing that i have been involved in.

the Karen Hornbecker fund is an amazing program and had helped many riders just by virtue of riders giving something to help get their fellow riders some support. the memory and riders is what has kept this program around!!!!! thank you!!!!

And those would be the Nicky Hayden signed autograph gloves that i won and gave to Jersey for who the benefit was for.

    Where r u big dog

and the fun and comradery we had back then

BIGGEST thanks are to Brian and Amanda in setting set up the Drunkathon. It is the people that make this stuff happen!!
