On the subject of rain tire sizes...

Do you personally run a skinnier size than normal or go with your regular sizes?

    Curious...

Re: On the subject of rain tire sizes...

I use a smaller rear tyre. That is also because the stock rims I use for rains are 4.5" instead of 5.5". This however seems to work very well for my bike and my riding style in the rain. Ahh the power of economics!

Just to add.... make sure you check the recommended psi for your specific tires. They are typically higher than your DOT's and if you run them too low you crash in T3...... twice..... in the same race...... just assume I have this information from a good source.

if you do not have the correct PSI then the treads cannot work properly to channel the water away

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    fronts are the same (120s)

Only because I had the rains when I switched to the 190s.

It's a starting point. Everyone should try to find what pressure works for them, and Denno should have said "For Pirelli rains".
