    Supermoto Masters

What are you guys running for a supermoto master? I still have the stock dirt bike master on it, and its just too squishy.
I have the motomaster caliper/rotor if that makes any difference at all.

    Re: Supermoto Masters

Masters need to be matched to the caliper. My Beringer BRO master would be crap mated to a stock 2 piston caliper for example. I want to say the Motomaster was sized to be functional with a stock dirt master, what year/make/model is your bike again, or do you recall what size piston the stock master is on it? A Honda TRX master of the right year might be a cheap upgrade to a slightly larger master to firm things up for you?

Ok, so going from a axial 11mm master to a radial 12mm should be a decent jump in lever firmness. Honda TRX450 front master should be an axial 12.7mm bore if you want to try a cheaper option, and is popular with a lot of the Sumo community, though I'm seeing some say it's too firm when paired with the MotoMaster caliper. Brembo made axial 12mm calipers that can be sourced for reasonable money as well, typically use was older Ducati / BMWs.

I am pretty sure I have a magura with my motomaster as well.

I remember when I was looking, the ATV quad front master was the way to go as it has a brake switch and it is designed to work with two calipers so it pushed more fluid. I already had the magura master so I just used it.

I ran a Brembo 15RCS and I paired it with a Brembo P4 30/34 caliper. The best brakes I've had on any bike. Nice firm lever and a ton of control.

I have a moto master caliper with a stock master on one bike and with a brembo 16x18 on the other. I think anything in the 14-16 range will work for it. They were strangely hard to find, I got mine on Kurvey girl.

    Re: Supermoto Masters

I have a TRX450 master on my WR with the stock caliper and some nice braided lines. It works. It was worth the $50 I have into it. But then I'm not experienced with top-shelf hardware here.
Mostly I installed the TRX master because it is wired for brake lights and I was plating the bike. I ran the stock master when I was racing the WR.

    Re: Supermoto Masters

Just to add a bit. My bike came with the Magura master and caliper which I still have. It lasted one day at the track for me. There was no issues braking but I didn't like how soft the lever felt. Just didn't fit with my braking style I guess.
