    Pirelli Payout?!

    If this is true

Your $50 Reward for Being a Pirelli Racer Will Arrive Soon

    Dear Racer,

Pirelli North America thanks you for participating in Pirelli Tire’s contingency program. To further show appreciation, soon you will be receiving an American Express™ powered credit card with a $50.00 balance for you to use at any participating, authorized Pirelli Race Tire Vendor.

Am Ex™ powered credit cards are scheduled to be shipped to every racer who is currently signed up for the Pirelli Race Tire contingency program, and who received $100.00 or more in contingency payout during the 2008 racing season. You will be receiving your card within the next six weeks.

More than just a thank you, this is also a congratulations from Pirelli Tire North America for your successes in having earned Pirelli contingency rewards.

Pirelli North America wishes you the greatest success during the 2009 racing season. With your proven race record, combined with our proven race-winning Diablo Supercorsa DOTs and Diablo Superbike Slicks, we know you have the winning solution.

    Sincerely,
    Chris Lyngkilde Jensen
    Motorcycle Road Racing Manager

    Re: Pirelli Payout?!

one second, they just flipped you $50 for being a contingency rider? or is this due to VIR and they are really on the ball? either way, that is top shelf support and service!

I didn't win anything at VIR, so I think this is just for being a Contingency rider who won some money last year.

We'll see if I actually get the card

    Re: Pirelli Payout?!

Pirelli USA are giving a $50 Pirelli credit card to all racers who won more than $100 in contingency last year from Pirelli.

We got the note last night from Chris Jensen, Pirelli USA Road racing manager.

Here's the card you will be receiving.

Pirelli have focused heavily on making the contingency program work well this year. All signs point to it being a seamless operation (unlike last year's debacle)

    derek

    Re: Pirelli Payout?!

I believe the way it is going to work this year is you will get 1 card which will be credited with cash each time you earn contingency.

Boston Moto will have contingency forms at our garage as well as at tech so sign up every race weekend. The last thing you want to happen is for a surprise podium finish and the contingency money being lost because you did not sign up.

    derek

Oh damn... wish I signed up for contingency last year, I coulda been gettin one of these.

    Very cool though, congrats Jamie.

Not sure how much contingency I'll be able to earn this year after the bump, but I'll be sure to sign up

    Pete,

There's always the chance of the occasional "scoring error"....
