The email we received today from LRRS round 6!registration includes a bulletin on "race interruption." I'm being dense and don't understand what the difference is from the current ruling on race restarts. OR why we needed this clarification.
Thoughts? Anyone?

A few things jump out at me:
1) Specific mention of officials stopping a race early, and the process, vs a crash related stoppage like we're used to.
2) Less than two laps completed and the red flag comes out now means a complete restart from scratch, so 8 laps on the restart instead of 7 or 6 like we're used to. I suspect this is to make manual scoring easier, no combining times/etc on close finishes.
The rest seems to be clarification of processes that weren't spelled out before, like exactly when the results are based on for a race that is red flagged after 50% of the race has occurred, etc.
