What is the age miminum for USCRA?

Well they are just allowing the Hawk in and it is 23 years old this year. I thought it was 20years.

I'm going to be testing some waters this weekend.

I mean rider age min. LRRS is 14. I assume USCRA is 14 or 16.

16 years old, AMA membership + (USCRA / LRRS / CCS / Proof of accredited race school or race experience) + proof of medical insurance

Im not sure on that. I would think they should/would recognize NHMS rules of 14.

I think this would be a great environment to get the younger folk involved.

FEES: PRE-ENTRY (Received by 06.11.11): $120.00 first class; $45.00 each additional class (incl. 2nd sidecar race).
POST-ENTRY (At track only 06.13.11): $130.00 first class; $50.00 each additional class. 50cc class only, $75.00.

Eligibility cut-off: Dec. 31st, 1989, no updating beyond this year. Similar, later models without performance improvements may apply in writing for approval.

• 125cc, 2-stroke GP
• 500cc, 2-stroke singles
• 400cc, 2-stroke street based twins and triples
(must have original frames, cylinder blocks and engine casings)
• 400cc, 4-stroke four cylinders
• 650cc, 4-stroke twins
• Unlimited, 4-stroke singles
(Exception: Suzuki GS550, Kawasaki EX250/500; current models allowed).

Rules applicable to all Period IV, Formula 3 classes:
1. Engine: Internal modification limited only to period type.
Normal induction (no forced/ram air, except where OEM in Formula
3). Airbox and toolbox may be removed.
2. Carburetion: Any period carburetors permitted.
3. Liquid cooling: Machines must run water only and flush system completely. Antifreeze prohibited. Water Wetter® permitted.
4. Frame: Original or period aftermarket frame (e.g: Harris, Spondon, etc.).
Frame bracing permitted, if executed in period and workmanlike manner. With the exception of Formula 3, Four cylinder restricted to steel frames in period. (i.e: NO GSXR, FZR).
5. Forks/Shocks: Conventional front forks of period construction and size. Monoshock and monoshock conversion OK.
6. Bodywork: Aftermarket permitted, period styles and materials only.
7. Brakes: Period brake systems/components only.
8. Wheels: No restrictions.

Note: Modern 125GP is NOT a Period IV, Formula 3 class. Treaded tires only; no slicks, or slicks treaded after manufacture.

They followed suit with LRRS a few years back, but I guess that's over.
One rider class, you're all Experts.

Your front end is right side up with period brakes....

Should be ok.

USD forks and 6 pot calipers are period correct for 1989, as are flatslide carbs going back to 85... They weren't common but they were in use.

Last year we did it on Labor Day. It was 96 degrees and hot. Probably the same dates this year.

Yes, it will be during the two day event in September. I don't know if it will be two hours or three hours.

Yup, they tossed the 16" wheel restriction when they approved GS500E/Fs.

Be advised, their tech requirements are higher than LRRS.

Thanks for the heads up! Have you raced an EX with these guys? How's the competition, ie how many racers would be in a race? I haven't raced it in almost a year.
