Poor baby him.
I am speaking only for myself on this but the fucking guy runs a helluva keyboard, no doubt, and has shown little to no respect for anyone who has tried to say "hey, Vanson leathers might not be all that and a bag of chips and here's why...". The result is he shits on them? Go through the posts again if you'd like. For example, what in the fuck did I do to warrant eating a tepid bag of dicks? (which are disgusting by the way. Imagine pickled eggs wrapped in foreskin. ) Then being told to go fuck myself? Way wrong. I do not talk with people that way and I expect the same from others, even moreso when I am trying to help.
Honestly, I would love to "cdovego" if this is how conversations are going to be.
No it's not poor baby him. It's the failure of civilized dialogue.
Bergs I honestly don't care much about Vanson. I have 4 suits that fit me. Needless to say I won't be buying a suit for a while. I think it's awesome that they give to LRRS. I think it sucks people had bad experiences with them. I also think it's awesome recent experiences look great. What I like is that I actually know the people with the good experiences. To me that's all. There is no he said she said. I don't know how good quality suits they make or how their CC is. If I ever do business with them I'll be sure to post up my experience. I refuse to participate in an argument about why they give to LRRS or who has the bigger dick. It's pointless
Why can't we all be cool and support what we love? I don't know.
Maybe I'm saying the same thing that's been said half a dozen times here, but as a person with no dog in this fight (NESR "everyman"):
1. I appreciate honest, informative feedback on products / companies I might be considering buying (I'm in the market for leathers.)
2. I'd appreciate getting that information in a way that seems balanced, and would not make a company who has, or will, give contingencies to the NESR/LRRS/racing community think that we're a bunch of unappreciative yahoos and we should go pound sand (NESR is searchable by google, after all).
I'm appreciative of some of the comments on this thread on both counts. Others, not so much.
A special shout-out to bergs for evoking an olfactory and visual experience I hope to never experience again. You sir, are no butcher. You're an artist, and the bag-o-dicks is your Sistine Chapel.

I first read that as, "Beat a dick do Dove," in which case I was going to ask where the pictures where...
Fuck YOU sir - I need a leather street jacket...you probably have 27.
That phrase really is hilarious though.

pretty sure i got one of those Vanson certs when i won the AM LWSB class. when i priced out the suit, the cert was a drop in the bucket towards the total cost of the suit. not worth it to me.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Just getting back here so reply is a bit late. I am not sure of your point here? If you look at my signature line, you wont find Kawasaki there. I am not sponsored by them so I don't see the relevance. Not to mention that 29 complaints out of what is likely millions of products on the market is a pretty decent ratio if you ask me. On the other hand, I can likely find more than 29 complaints about vanson on this tiny little spec of internet space where that ratio would be a lot higher, methinks.
I appreciate that you seem to be rabidly defensive over a company that you have had good dealings with. The simple truth is that here people express caution when mentioning Vanson because experience has taught us that it is the best way to deal with them.
If the russians were sponsoring LRRS through their Myr space program, I would be appreciative of the money but it doesn't meant that I wont keep one eye skyward looking for falling debris...

We're also on a regional forum / echo chamber. Complaints, real and imagined are popular, positive reviews don't supply as much red meat to the masses, no matter the brand.
I am pretty sure I will crash a lot in 2015 and decided to get a Vanson in the next 2 months. Will post how smooth (or bumpy) the Vanson experience was for me at that time.
Is it spring yet????

^ some of their imported stuff is lighter weight/grade.
I think the stuff they make in house is still the heavy duty stuff.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Playing victim and acting like you haven't taken a swing at me every opportunity you've gotten is silly, Mr. Butcher Burgs.
I simply cut you off before you got started this time. The fallout butthurt is to be expected.
Mike - my point is if you do business long enough, they'll always be complaints. I've been exposed to many other views on Vanson, none of them nearly as critical as this crowd.

Me? A victim?
You give yourself way too much credit, Chris but have it your way. You win.
My feelings are super hurt.
Back to Op topic. Did anyone else receive a certificate in the mail? I received a $400 certificate in a mailing from RSC. And yea, I'm going to take advantage of it. Just not sure how yet. I have a 35 year old Vanson jacket that I love but could use some repairs, or a street jacket and maybe some gloves, or maybe go all in and do a suit.
