Jen was BLAZING thru 1, 1A, and 2 to make up for the motor farting out on the straights. Was fun to watch... until she didn't come out of the bowl on the last lap!! I found her stripped out of her leathers and sunbathing in the grass when I brought the truck out to T6 to pick her up. lol.

I'm guessing the race to pick her up was probably even more intense than the motorcycle racing.......

Don't forget that the Ms. Match will be held in October. I believe Kerry is entering that race. Check with her to see if The Don honored her USCRA license last year.

Were you on Balla's rig? I couldn't keep track, but I know there were four monkeys flicked from their chairs yesterday. You in practice, then I think it was Balla once again during the warm-up lap in Race 2. His monkey fell in 12 and he didn't know it until I pointed it out at the hot grid. The monkey hooked a ride with Brian and Heather Carroll to the grid. Rabbie got flicked by Red Molly (A gorgeous Vincent rig) in 11. We stopped Red Molly at Start/Finish while I gave Rabbie a ride back in my golf cart. I think the fourth monkey got flicked by Molly too.
Weird day, but Cindy managed to bring it home on time with a minimum of cutting laps from the races. We had a guy loop a 50 at the start which brought out the ambulance and shut things down on the track because both crews were tied up at the IMC.

Yes I was the first monkey to fall off. I was riding with Pete T on the Vincent. To my drivers defense, it was my fault I fell off. I don't remember a day that so many monkeys were left behind!
I might be doing the mismatch if I can find a bike. They did honor my USCRA license and you get to practice in the morning. Good deal, and it is for a good cause!

Didn't you learn from my example at the Classic? Sheesh, am I going to have to do a repeat performance? One hand on the cart at all times, or you get to play Superman sans the cape, bulging muscles fan fare.
So... that Vincent, does it go? : )

Ellen Hayes took them. Go to her Facebook photo gallery. I noticed you were lined up next to your father on the hot grid. It would have been nice to get that shot, but my camera was in the cart.

I fell off on the end of the second lap of practice coming out of 12. I missed the transition and when he started to accelerate, I was thrown backward (yes the Vincent definitely goes). I quickly realized I would not be able to get myself back up on the rig and wasn't sure I could hold on the whole straightaway so I let go. No one was behind us so I just barrel rolled down the straight:)
The solo bike was a bit better with a 2nd and a crash (last lap, last turn, last race going for third). It wasn't really my day besides doing my best lap time ever. Oh well....there is a lot of time to fix the bike as it is my last race of the season. I will probably be in up Oct to cheer everyone on!

I was offered a 125, but I am not sure I want to do it. With the luck I had last race week, maybe I shouldn't push it. Are you doing it?

Re: Vintage Racing - Labor Day!!
I would think that this group would be able to offer two decent rides for these girls to help represent the USCRA.

I just read that, too. The Spinney situation was not good at all. You're right in that proper education is the key to solve that problem. You gave me an idea on how to rectify it in a very cost effective manner. I have a reply to post to the thread in caferacer.net as soon as my membership is approved.

That would work. They are very crashworthy. Remember Athena still managed to beat Lorna after tossing it away in 12?
