Wachusett Valley Riders Club - Racing this Sunday, Oct 20th in Winchendon

Last weekend's flat track and TT racing in Winchendon was a blast. Anyone planning to go this Sunday? The Adult 100-160cc classes had decent sized grids and there were pros on big bikes. All you need is a TTR125 or XR100. Knobbies were allowed last weekend for smaller bikes, but best to check with Roger.

The poster I have says practice starts Sunday at noon.
Contact information: Roger Durkee (508)963-0017 or Kevin Clark (413)531-4723.

Brady - it was great fun. Cory and Harlan Hildebrand did very well, either placing or winning every race they entered. I am finishing mid pack, but having a blast.

Here are some helmet camera video links from 10/20:

    100-160cc Oval http://youtu.be/N0iWXAtGaTA
100-160cc TT http://youtu.be/O5s7W7_-Nxg A jump start sent 3 riders to the back of the grid.

I face planted around 02m52s in the first TT practice http://youtu.be/NJfmKhrUiHs

I had originally done some flat track and TT training on these small bikes to improve my road racing. I had read that Kenny Roberts Sr. trained this way on his ranch in CA with XR100s and this helps with racecraft and to develop the right reflexes for when the bike gets out of shape. Either way, I have always had fun riding these bikes, despite the low HP output.
