    I'd be happy if I were in the 1:30 range by the end of this weekend. Seriously, is that reasonable for me to shoot for?

    I think you will be surprised at how fast you will get the lap times down. 1:30's are good times on a bike you are not comfortable on yet.. I am hoping to be in the 1:23 -24 time frame for my first race...

    Jay, 1:30 is a good target and is attainable if you apply yourself. Race winning times for the amateurs for the first weekend will be 1:23 range I think.

    Jay low 1:30's is a great start. I'm no racer at all but try to stay within your "comfort zone" baby steps into your "fucking nuts zone" Remember what gears you are in in all corners and try making your break marks consistant unless you can break harder.
    This is coming from a guy who has low sided into 2 and the bowl so what ever its worth.
