Try tires, see how they feel to you, buy the ones you like.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I've had conversations with Graham and others about the tires and finding the setup etc. Are people running the 180 rear?
I'm just a little nervous to spend that coin to be just trying things out
    I've only run Dunlops

For a 5.5" rim, the 180 is the correct size. Your 600cc bike should have a 5.5" rear wheel. Pirelli does offer a 180/55(slick & DOT) and a new 180/60(DOT), which was introduced last year in World Supersport. Drop us a line at info@gomtag.com if you've got any questions, we can definitely help you with some info to get the bike properly set up for the tires.

Pilot Powers are made by Michelin, not Pirelli

if you're used to Dunlops then you're gonna be going to the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Dunlops have a very stiff carcass while Pirellis are like jello. I liked the Pirellis I ran before and they made up for a horrible geometry problem I didn't know I had till I switched.

and are you talking race tires or street. I'm assuming race.

I ran the pirelli diablos 180/60 in NJ at the TTD . They had tons of grip and the extra ride height made a nice change for turn in. I did have to add a couple washers under the rear hunger as it was rubbing the tire. This was on my stock 600rr. I say buy them you won't be sorry.

This is why I wanted to be sure I had better information before pulling the trigger. Softer carcass tire = stiffer suspension? Yes I'm talking race tires.

In general, yes. If switching from a stiffer carcass tire, we generally end up stiffening the suspension a bit when putting someone on the Pirelli's.

We (www.goMTAG.com) will be happy to work with you if you end up on our tires.
