    Re: Xtra xponders

I asked Wanda about Rent To Own and rental. LRRS has no rent to own program. The "small number" of rentals on hand are intended to accommodate rookie weekend racers, and are not intended for veteran racers.

She also said that they are working on a discounted price for new transponders through LRRS.

I missed out on the used ones, so I'll just sit and wait to see what pans out. April is 5 months away.

Is there a thread for this? I couldn't find anything actually talking about a group buy, only the 14 page thread with the poll...

I need to buy a couple of these as well.

I'll keep an eye out on ccsracing.us, but if somebody has more info, please let me know.

Yea how do you turn these off? Mine after charging it will only last for 4 days before it is dead again.

like Pete said, you don't. You just let it discharge in 4 days.

I mentioned the charging, because supposedly charging it fully and allowing it to discharge complete every 3 months give the best battery life.

And Christian, turn off that annoying Tapatalk signature. Thanks.

Not really... place the transponder in the charger (not plugged in).

    "SLEEP MODE:
The Sleep Mode of this transponder is designed to turn off the transponder’s signal output and
save battery life during its discharge cycle. Since the transponder’s Sleep Mode turns its output
    signal off...
Place the charged/functioning transponder in an unplugged charging cradle to put it in Sleep
Mode. Normal functioning resumes when it is removed from the charging cradle. While in Sleep
Mode, the transponder will last up to 3 times longer during a single charge-discharge cycle."

It's obviously defective. I'll give you $50 for it.

any pros/cons for saving $$$$ and going with a wired version instead of the wireless ones?

    here: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...asp?RecID=3061

i'll be racing a single bike, so no worries about having to change it.

any other transponders going up for sale?

Will the go cart ones work with the system?
If you had a go cart transponder would timing still pick it up?
Just curious because short of the fast guys some bikes won't be doing 100 at the line. Especially novice motard, ptwin, ulsb or even lwsb.
Just kinda curious. Id be surprised if I was doing much over 100.

The R/C transponders are only like $100 but I know they won't work.

I can't find any used ones so I'm planning on going with a new wired one.

unless LRRS has some special pricing/group buy/discount etc... I hate to have to spend the $400 but I want to race so I guess I have to make it happen.

Rule book states AMB 260X transponder.

Oxx, being the cheap bastard you are, why risk it?

Will the AMB360X work at NJMP? I know they use a different pouch.
