Def won't work for that new guy that took the penguin school then, he was topping out sixth spinning the rear down the front straight.

What transponder are they mandating? Is it at least the same as other sanctioning bodies? In other words, if I buy one to race LRRS and then I decide to do a WERA endurance race or something, am I going to be able to use the same transponder?

Keep an eye on the wera classifieds. I've seen a few pop up recently for 275-300 with chargers lightly used. They don't last long when they're posted.

RFID tags would've been the way to go.
I like everyone bitching when it was announced back around ROUND 7 that we would need to have these for next year (btw, just like every other race org in the country requires you to supply your own, and lrrs is selling theirs at a huge discount)
When these things are $450 new you thought you could sit around for 2.5 months and hope to get one of the limited number for sale for $120????? I waited a good while and still got one... so, you snooze you lose.
I can't say I blame the people who bought multiple ones, they can easily sell for a huge profit. That said, maybe LRRS should have limited to one per racer.
I did think I could get one before the banquet, yes chris. I figured the scramble would come in April. Thanks for being so helpful.
Actually what happened was that other organizations are in on this too. The USCRA is going to have electronic T&S in 2011, so they bought a bunch of them. I also saw the sale posted on the VRG List, but I don't think they got the heads up early enough to get too many of them.

I wasn't aware of this until recently

Don't ever agree with him....ever. It will only support the idea that his opinion might be correct.Quote:
