Friday - Got a great start! Went to the dump at 9am, went food shopping, packed everything for this glorious weekend and left for the track. Arrived around 10:30pm, argued with a13x about parking spots (yeah, I was cranky about not racing this weekend), set up sleeping arrangements in my trailer, dranks some beer, visited people and went to bed.
Saturday - Missed practice altogether but whipped out the griddle and cooked breakfast out of the back of my pickup instead. It was good....the breakfast I mean. Helped with tire stuff at BostonMoto and cruised around the infield in general misery. Fired up the grill a few times and cooked more tuff. The stuff was good.
The evening brought friends, food and drinks in addition to contemplating ways to get my leathers up to the track so I could get at least one race in on Sunday.....hey, I had a bike already lined up. Things did not work out and I quietly went back to being miserable and hammered....but mostly miserable. I ended up lowsiding in my trailer. My day was done.
Sunday - My slowest start of the weekend. I arose from my brand-new-but-somehow-slowly-deflating air mattress, hit the showers and eventually made my way to the Egg Shell to meet with Zip-Tie Alley teammates, Negro Squirrell and MC hammerdown. Went back to the track and, much like everyone else, spent the rest of the morning in the rain. It was fun.
Toward day's end, the skies slowly cleared shortly after I'd hung the wheels on my FZ1. I packed, said my goodbyes and went home.
Thank you to the people who chipped in to help offset my food costs. It wasn't necessary but it means alot! Thank you again! I look forward to offering more services in the future.....guess that means I'm done racing...
