Ok So this has happend to me a few times lately but more today, im riding along say in first or second gear, kinda of coasting behind some cars and I pull in the clutch and the bike shuts right off, one time it shut off on a downshift from 3rd to 2nd, and a few times i have been sitting at a light had it in neutral grabbed the clutch put it in first and the bike shuts off.
Anyone ever experience this? IF so any ideas what it could be?
Check your battery terminals, make sure they are tight. Whats it idle at when warm?
Bruce
Thats a good place to start it idles right around 1200 or so, holds its idle fine seems to only happen once the bike is warm and has been riding for a while
does your bike have a kickstand kill sensor? is it tripping or are you hitting it accidentally?
Well it does have a kick stand kill sensor, but then wouldnt it happen more often if I were hitting it?
Seems to only happen when I pull in the clutch
It does have a tip sensor
That's got me a couple of times a parking lot speeds
No specific knowledge just the usual suspects

check the connection for the clutch safety switch. its probably under the clutch lever. all zuks have to be started with the lever pulled in. if its disconnected you cant start it. maybe related?

yeah im at a loss seems to only happen when its running hot like above 200 after sitting in traffic. But the fan works so its not like tis over heating
Didn't some one on the big big long long ride ride have a problem with their ECU getting too hot and the bike shutting off because it *thought* it was over heating?

yeah but his was overheating because he had that hotbodies undertail exhaust. basically the exhaust was in his trunk.

yes but the thing is, it starts right back up, ive got to be hitting the kick stand switch or something lame im not realizing. Occaisonally at a light ill be in neutral shift it into first and it stops.
Well if the shift kills it then I would look at the kick stand switch
cut wires tape together
be happy
