    08 sv650 help

Bike was in storage for 2 months while I was on a trip. Went to start the bike today and turned over, stays running for a couple seconds then dies.

    Battery was tested and passed.
I hear the fuel pump prime.
Fuel only sat for 2 months in tank.

Is it my fuel pump pressure? Spark plugs?Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to start going crazy without consulting someone who may have had a similar issue first.

Have you tried running it with the gas tank opened?

No nests. Will try it with the gas cap open when I get home today.

Did you stabilize the fuel before you put it in storage? And how full was the tank with gas before storage?

so it starts every time and then dies after? or it did that once and how wont start but turns over? you said the battery was good how many volts? is there an inline gas filter? mice like exhausts as well as air boxes make sure its clear.
I would drain the gas put fresh in and change any filters.. check the above and report good luck

Where can I dispose of gas? It was only in storage for 2 months and gas looks clean... no lumps. It I will swap it out and look at exhaust, lines, and filters

You wouldn't see lumps. The ethanol attracts water, so your engine would be trying to burn water. Happened to my sisters bike years ago, which was carbed. Never heard of problems with fuel injected bikes for the most part though.

Put it in a car with a mostly full tank.

Cars can handle some amount of water. It's an old method to clean the chamber is to mist water instead of Seafoam down the intake. Steam cleans the insides. Just dilute it with enough good gas.
