I got a 2000 R6 that I'm having slight issues with throttle control especially when initially cracking open the throttle, I'm finding it hard to just roll on the throttle. This is a track specific bike and when coming up to a turn, I ease off the throttle and apply brakes, then as I enter the corner, I roll on the throttle very slowly but when it initially catches, it doesn't roll on smoothly, it has a slight jerk and jumps forward. Regardless of how slowly and smoothly I roll the throttle on, it almost feels like the throttle rolls from 20%-100% but never 1%, 2%, 3%, etc. I have a 97 GSXR 600 and the roll-on throttle jerkiness is not as noticable as my 2000 R6. I have adjusted played around with the throttle cable adjustment and have found an optimal point, but that doesn't change the rough jump the throttle has when rolling on. I'm wondering if there are some adjustments to make the throttle roll-on smoother or is it just a characteristic of that bike, that year, and being carbureted?
