Full Muzzy system, DNA filter, PCIII with proper re-map, plug the PAIR valve, remove the airbox snorkels.

But if you really want to go faster, throw on some Pirellis, swap the crap stock shock for a Penske, rebuild the forks (emulators, stiffer springs, preload adjusters, etc), and enjoy.

Can I just do the PCIII and re-map to get some action? That would be around $300 for parts and how hard to do? Suppose the airbox would be easy.

I would think a cam, the PC3, and a pipe would be good. Jon would know...

If you go with just the PCIII, the most you'll get is mucher smoother throotle response, though 1 or 2 hidden hp is possible with the right tune. I'd take it to a good shop that can run it for you...you can set it with the pre-loaded or downloadable maps, but there are always variables. It's fairly easy to put on, the only hard part would be getting the airbox out. Its really easy on some bikes, not so on others.

As far as getting the snorkels off, that's extremely easy, but a tight fit (unless you pull the whole box out). Grab inside the airbox with pliers and pull. But its not beneficial unless you pair it with a higher flowing air filter. Doing so will cause extraneous popping and flame bursts, which is why you need to plug the PAIR valve. Those things pretty much need to be done all at the same time.

Easiest and cheapest way to increase torque and acceleration is to swap the chain and sprockets. It'll still pass inspection and be quiet. Won't help HP though.

The biggest gains you will see for this bike have to do with air flow. The motor is really choked down from the factory and responds well to increased air flow.

I believe the air flow increase would have some effect since the motor sounds like it wants to wind faster. What new filter would you recommend?
