    95 zx6r fork rebuild.

So i have about 35k on my bike, and I'm pretty sure the forks have never been serviced. I had been putting it off till I could swing the money for a revalve and spring but they really just need to be done. I would prefer to do it my self so that i can learn more about how things works etc. So I have ordered new fork seals and obviously new bolt crush washers, and i beleive i need to order new fork bushings. Peter I know you mentioned working with these bikes, do you remember if there is any random other things that need to be replaced or things to look out for? Is there any thing that could be damaged having waited so long for a rebuild?
    Thanks.

My forks have 95,000 miles on the original seals and bushings. Only need to change the oil now and then, the other stuff only needs to be changed when it wears out.

Yup, the bushings are Teflon coated and bathed in oil. They do wear, and you should inspect them if you are going to take it apart, but they definitely last longer than 35k.

Um.. I'm pretty sure mine are bare bronze. At least according to the pictures in my Haynes manual. But as you said I will inspect them when I pull them.
